Enjoy hour-long, informative classes dedicated to Sake led by PABU Master Sake Sommelier, Tiffany Soto. Each Sake 101 class is an interactive tasting of five Sakes that explores various flavor profiles and illustrate the diversity within the genre. With every sip, you will learn about the libation’s history and brewing process, the meanings behind different grade designations, and how production regions affect taste. Conversation will also delve into the benefits of drinking Sake (including its low calorie count) and tips for easily navigating a Sake menu in the future.
Sushi 101

Have you ever wanted to learn how to roll sushi like a pro? This spring, PABU will offer two Sushi Rolling classes with Executive Chef Jonah Kim and Sushi Chef Yoji Harada. Class participants will master the art of making sushi – from how to cut the fish correctly, to a hands-on-demonstration of how to roll it properly.
PABU Celebrates Cherry Blossoms with April Tatami Table Dinner
Wednesday, April 17 at 7 p.m.; seating is limited to 12 guests; $99 per person, not including tax and gratuity
The Tatami Table Dinners are exclusive dining adventures guided by Chef Jonah Kim where guests are taken on a culinary journey each month to explore a new focus of Japanese cuisine. As an ode to spring and the National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, DC, Chef Jonah will prepare a multi-course meal inspired by the famous Cherry Blossoms, or “Sakura,” which symbolize the ephemeral nature of life. There will also be beverage pairings from PABU’s spring cocktail menu inspired by flowers.
